However, I'm not sure if that applies to terrestrial photography with a telescope. What your eye will see as in focus and what the camera sees as in focus are not the same thing. I know in astrophotography that you cannot just look through the eyepiece, focus and then take a picture. When hooked up to the telescope the only focus you have is the telescope focus knob becuase the ETX acts as the camera lens. When you said in your post that you "focused all the way to infinity" what do you mean by that? Well it sounds like you have it hooked to the telescope correctly. Please help me if you can! I'll probably post this in some more forums also (sorry if you see it twice) THANK YOU! I've seen posts regarding other ETX models, but this one is just ETX (no numbers or letters as a suffix) Is this some sort of crappy telescope when used for photography? Is there supposed to be some glass in there? The adapter just consists of a black tube, the t-mount is just a circle. Then I flip the mirror down and refocus and it looks like I'm using optics from the 15th century. When I look at things through the eyepiece on top everything looks great. I focused all the way to infinity on this one and it still wasn't enough. I mean how hard can it be? Put the adapter on, put the camera on, take pictures.
